United Mechanical, Inc. is a family business serving the mechanical needs of Wisconsin and Northern Illinois since 1964. The business began as Wierts and Hughs Heating in 1926. It was acquired by Frank Colwell in 1964 and the name was changed to United Heating Company. In 1966, the company was incorporated and became United Mechanical, Inc. as we expanded to offer plumbing, piping, sheet metal and fire protection services in addition to our heating business. All of our divisions have been recognized for their expertise in designing, installing and maintaining quality mechanical systems. Over the years the company has grown and flourished thanks to Frank Colwell's vision and legacy of providing superior services and affordable prices.
